Writing a Successful, High-Quality Biobanking Manuscript for Journal Publication
Time: 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 9 PM CEST / your local time here

Presenter: Marianna BledsoeEditor-in-Chief for Biopreservation and Biobanking JournalMarianne Henderson Social Media Editor and Editorial Board Member of Biopreservation and Biobanking JournalAmanda RushEditorial Board Member of Biopreservation and Biobanking Journal

Description:
Biobanking manuscripts can be rejected for a variety of reasons. These include the inappropriate selection of a target journal, lack of innovation, a poorly-written manuscript, missing or unclear hypothesis, statistical and data issues, and statements or conclusions not supported by the data. Often, a manuscript may require several rounds of review to address peer reviewer comments. This webinar is intended to help attendees identify potential challenges to publication ahead of time. It will also describe the editorial and peer review process and provide advice on writing a successful, high-quality manuscript for timely publication in BIO or other relevant journals.

At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to:

1. Understand the various steps in the manuscript submission, review and publication process.
2. Explain the elements of a high-quality publication.
3. Describe some of the common problems reviewers cite during the review of a manuscript and how to avoid them
