As the new president of the ISBER board, it is my honor, privilege, and challenge to serve during this time of evolution—revision of our organizational structure to reflect our strategic plan, recasting of communications mechanisms to reflect the new
normal, further definition of relationships with stakeholders and partners to reflect the growing importance of biobanking to complementary fields, and advancement of science and technology. We have just come out of our first, and successful, hybrid
annual meeting. We have just concluded a vote of the membership to evolve the ISBER organizational structure to reflect the needs of all of our members. At the same time, ISBER is still busy with developing products, including knowledge, for the biobanking
community. What can be expected during the coming year?
