Memberships are based on calendar year (January 1 to December 31), regardless of sign-up date. Note that membership is not pro-rated. Contact info@isber.org if you have issues with joining or renewing membership.

  

There are two levels of ISBER Memberships: Organizational and Individual

Organizational Memberships

Organizations and vendors from government, academia, and industry that manage repositories and provide services and products for specimen collection and repository management.  

If you are renewing your Organizational Membership, ensure that you are logged in using your Organization Master Account.

  • 2-8 Individual Memberships, which are entitled to all associated Individual Membership benefits (see below)

Individual Memberships

Individual Members are individuals who are involved in resource management or who have interests related to the operation of biological or environmental repositories, and may be employees of Organizational Members.

*Note on Fall Membership Renewal & Journal Access: 

New and renewing members who sign up for the printed-and-online journal membership option in the preceding fall will have access to all issues of the online journal, but will not receive that year's remaining print issues. If they so wish, they could purchase the entire year's volume and all issues from that year will be sent, including back issues.

Definitions:

Student: Currently enrolled in college/university or graduate school. Confirmation of status for Student is required by a manager. Please send a letter to info@isber.org. 

Technician: Employed to look after technical equipment or to do practical work in a laboratory. This includes lead technicians and technicians in performing a supervisory role, but does not include managers. Confirmation of status for Technician is required by a manager. Please send a letter to info@isber.org. 

Research Advocate: Any individual whose primary interest in biobanking is from the perspective of the research advocate, including research participant, patient or consumer advocates. A research advocate is a person who serves as a link between patients and scientific researchers. Research advocates help patients understand scientific information and research findings that may help them. They may also bring a patient perspective on research activities to scientific advisory boards and committees. Confirmation of status would require a letter of support from an appropriate affiliated institution/organization of the individual.

LOW, LOWER MIDDLE, AND UPPER MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES - sTARTING SEPTEMBER 1, 2019:
