The Marshfield Medical Research Foundation has posted information concerning the structure of its biobank on the Personalized Medicine Research Project website.
New England Cell Repository
New England Cell Repository, a division of New England Cryogenic Center, Inc., is a cell and tissue cryopreservation and storage company designed with the medical and research facility in mind. NECR/NECC is an AABB accredited, and FDA registered and compliant facility. This insures that vital cells and materials are received, stored, monitored, and handled to the highest standards.

Specimen Network

The Australasian Biospecimen Network (ABN)
(ABN) is a professional organization established in 2002 to provide a forum to address technical, legal / ethical, and managerial issues relevant to human biospecimen repositories. It is composed of a variety of specialists involved in tissue banking for research purposes, including several who are members of ISBER (Lisa Devereux, Heather Thorne). In addition to this, we are currently developing a 'Tissue Specimen Locator' which will allow researchers to use a web-based search page to discover what tissue is available for their studies on a national level.

Societies/Associations

Cryogenic Society of America
The Cryogenic Society of American (CSA) is a non-profit technical society serving all those interested in any phase of cryogenics, the art and science of achieving extremely low temperatures - almost absolute zero.
CSA is a full-time technical society and trade association concerned solely with cryogenics. CSA members work in space programs around the world in high energy physics, industry, research labs, astronomy, air separation and LNG industries, and academia.
