The ISBER Travel Award provides travel support for individuals from emerging countries that are planning or are currently managing a repository, to attend the ISBER 2009 Annual Meeting:
ISBER, Celebrating a Decade of Growth and Development in International Biorepository Excellence, to be held May 12-15, 2009, in Portland, Oregon, USA.
The ISBER Travel Award includes paid meeting registration and $1,200.00 reimbursement for travel expenses.  Applicants are encouraged, but not required to submit an abstract. Current employees of biobanking organizations in an emerging country listed in the Band 1 or Band 2 lists of countries generated by eligibility requirements of HINARI, a project of the World Health Organization are eligible to apply. In addition, the biobanking organization headquarters must originate from a Band 1/Band 2 country.   

Applicants must complete the following application in its entirety, and submit along with:

1) a Curriculum Vitae (CV), and
2) a photocopy of current Passport/VISA page with photo ID and expiration date.  

All items must be submitted no later than February 15, 2009 to be eligible for consideration.  

 

 



 

ISBER Travel Award
Sponsorships



The ISBER Travel Award program is designed to provide travel support to attend the ISBER Annual Meeting for individuals from developing countries who are either developing a repository or are involved with the management of an existing repository.  If your company would like to make a donation to this program, please check the appropriate box on the Sponsorship Opportunities Form (see below) and return the form to ISBER.  All Exhibiting Companies and Corporate Partners that donate to this fund will be acknowledged in the ISBER 2009 Meeting Program.
