The 7th Asian Network of Research Resource Centers (ANRRC) International Meeting will be held from September 16th to 18th, 2015 in Incheon, Korea. The meeting will promote active discussions on two recently developing issues surrounding resource centers: the Nagoya Protocol and the reproducibility of experimental results. The Nagoya Protocol entered into force in October 2014 after over 50 countries ratified. Resource centers are expected to play a crucial role in implementation of the Protocol. The reproducibility of experimental results is central to science. A certain portion of research results in life science cannot be reproduced by third party due to defects in experimental materials (bioresources) or inaccurate information associated with them. Therefore, a group of editors representing major journals, representatives from funding agencies and scientific leaders endorsed guidelines for biomedical research in June 2014, thereby enlarging responsibility as well as expectation on resource centers.
