ISBER Travel Award

The deadline has been extended!  The ISBER 2013 Travel Award application and supporting documents are due to the ISBER Office no later than November 1, 2012.

The ISBER Travel Award provides travel support for individuals from emerging countries to attend the ISBER Annual Meeting and Exhibits. The award is for individuals who are either planning or currently managing a repository. A limited number of Travel Awards are available. The ISBER Travel Award includes paid meeting registration and up to $1,500.00 reimbursement for travel expenses to successful candidates. Applicants are encouraged, but are not required, to submit an abstract to the Annual Meeting. Current employees of biobanking organizations in an emerging country on the Group A or B HINARI lists of countries categorized by the World Health Organization are eligible to apply. In addition, the biobanking organization headquarters must originate from a Group A/Group B country. Awardees must submit a photo of themselves and a summary report after the annual meeting to the ISBER office before reimbursement will be issued for meeting travel expenses.
