ISBER Travel Award

The ISBER 2012 ISBER Travel Award Application Deadline has passed.  Please continue to check the website for information on the ISBER 2013 ISBER Travel Award Application.

The ISBER Travel Award provides travel support for individuals from emerging countries to attend the ISBER Annual Meeting and Exhibits. The award is for individuals who are either planning or currently managing a repository. A limited number of Travel Awards are available. The ISBER Travel Award includes paid meeting registration and up to $1,200.00 reimbursement for travel expenses to successful candidates. Applicants are encouraged, but are not required, to submit an abstract. Current employees of biobanking organizations in an emerging country on the Band 1 or 2 HINARI lists of countries categorized by the World Health Organization are eligible to apply. In addition, the biobanking organization headquarters must originate from a Band 1/Band 2 country. Awardees must submit a photo of themselves and a summary report after the annual meeting to the ISBER office before reimbursement will be issued for meeting travel expenses.
