ISBER Travel Award

The ISBER Travel Award provides travel support for individuals from emerging countries to attend the ISBER 2011 Annual Meeting in Arlington Virginia, USA from May 15-18, 2011. The award is for individuals who are either planning or currently managing a repository. A limited number of Travel Awards are available.  The ISBER Travel Award includes paid meeting registration and up to $1,200.00 reimbursement for travel expenses to successful candidates.  Applicants are encouraged, but are not required, to submit an abstract. Current employees of biobanking organizations in an emerging country on the Band 1 or 2 HINARI lists of countries categorized by the World Health Organization are eligible to apply. In addition, the biobanking organization headquarters must originate from a Band 1/Band 2 country.  Awardees must submit a photo of themselves and a summary report after the annual meeting to the ISBER office before reimbursement will be issued for meeting travel expenses.

Now accepting applications for the 2011 ISBER Travel Award to attend the ISBER 2011 Annual Meeting to be held May 15-18, 2011, just outside Washington, DC in Arlington, Virginia, USA.  The application deadline is October 1, 2010. Applicants must complete the following application in its entirety, and submit along with:

1. a Curriculum Vitae (CV), and
2. a current Passport/VISA number with photo ID and expiration date.
