|Biopreservation and Biobanking (BIO)|
(formerly Cell Preservation Technology)
Biopreservation and Biobanking (BIO) is the official Journal of ISBER, and is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. BIO includes papers on the diverse spectrum of preservation technologies including cryopreservation, dry-state (anhydrobiosis), glassy-state and hypothermic maintenance. BIO publishes quality original manuscripts on systems preservation, cellular and molecular mechanisms, preservation states, preservation engineering - bioprocessing, optimization protocols, natural systems models, and ethical/legal/regulatory considerations; and seeks to develop and encourage publication standards to foster effective and reliable data collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication. Periodic society newsletters are published in BIO.
Individual members and Organization member Delegates receive the online version of BIO with their membership, and may choose to upgrade to the Print/Online subscription of BIO. Alternate Delegates and employees of Organizational Members may subscribe to BIO at a reduced rate.
ISBER members receive access to the Biopreservation and Biobanking journal as a benefit of membership (a $599 US value!).
Member Access to BIO: Members must be logged-in to access the journal (also accessible via the link in the "Member Resources" menu).
